We are the Foundation of Young Businessmen of Colombia JemCOL, which looks for increase the opportunities of employment and income generation for young people in situation of vulnerability and with enterprising vocation, whom cannot obtain support for other ways.

Our History
In 1983, the Prince of Wales founded “The Prince's Trust” in the United Kingdom. It´s objective was to work with young people and their need to find a good job. The solution to the problem was the creation of new companies. Since its foundation, The Prince's Trust has helped over 65,000 young people between 18 and 35 years of age to make their plans, giving small credits to create sustainable businesses and youth to provide young people higher self-esteem, economic independence and greater employment opportunities. In 1999 and after receiving interest from several countries, The Prince's Trust created Youth Business International (YBI) to help other organizations outside the United Kingdom which were interested in use its mentor model. In December 2002, a group of young people belonging to the Forge Group, in the city of Cartagena with the suport of the Youth Business International (YBI) to help other organizations outside the United Kingdom which were interested in use its mentor model.
In December 2002, a group of young people belonging to the Forge Group, in the city of Cartagena with the suport of the Youth Business International Foundation created Jóvenes Empresarios de Colombia JemCOL. On March 31, 2005 the foundation Mario Santo Domingo signed an agreement with the Inter-American Development Bank, to implement the project "Mentoring Model for the Development of Young Entrepreneurs." The success of the model implemented in Cartagena led the opening program in Bogotá in April 2008.
